Birth is one of the most important life experiences. We never forget our birth stories and share them over and over to our friends, family and children. As a doula, I want every woman and her partner to know they have choices for their birth and with gentle support and encouragement they will be able to create a beautiful birth story.
My desire to become a doula has grown over the years following my own birth experiences and those of my friends and family. My own experiences were enriched with the support of my partner and also my best friend Terri at my side. My journey to motherhood included a struggle with infertility and now I feel so blessed to finally have 3 beautiful children including 6 year old twins.
In addition to my experience as a doula, I have worked with families and children as a licensed clinical social worker for 12 years. As a doula and counselor I have enjoyed working with parents of multiples, premature infants, infertility and adoption. Each of these experiences has deepened my appreciation for the natural supports we all have around us, including family, friends and faith.
With over 25 years of friendship, and the shared births of our six children, Terri and I enjoy working together and offering support and care to other women.
I live in Loveland, CO and work in the area from North Denver to Cheyenne, Wyoming. I have experience in all Northern Colorado Hospitals, Cheyenne and most Denver area hospitals and also have home birth experience.
